Is ChatGPT better at giving career advice than most bosses? Apparently, Gen Z thinks so

Lately there’s been a trend among young employees, specifically for those who are part of “Gen Z”, and this is something you were never expecting.

Turns out, now young people are recurring to ChatGPT for career advice instead of their –very-human bosses. According to a survey made by INTOO and the Workplace Intelligence research firm and reported on CNBC.

In the words of Mira Greenland, chief revenue officer at INTOO, not even a competitive salary can make up for a lack of care and investment from employers in their employees.

As CNBC highlighted in their article, the survey also showed that 44% of Gen Z employees on the survey expect to quit within six months.

But the most important thing here is the fact that responsibility falls on the people in command, and not on those young employees trying to find empathetic and fulfilling advice from an AI instead of their bosses.

For Greenland, companies must ensure first that their managers are capable and ready to develop their employees, and that also includes doing something as simple as showing a Slack channel for relevant career growth content to your newcomers.
